S.Mobile Netzone Nig. Ltd, a fast rising telecommunications company with a vision to be one of the biggest players in the sector in Africa, on Wednesday, 25 May, stormed Port Harcourt, River State, where it on-boarded and empowered dealers in its revolutionary data pin business.
The Port Harcourt event was for the on-boarding of dealers within the South-South region. It was the second leg of a nationwide program by S.Mobile, of which the maiden event took place in Nsukka a few weeks ago. The program aims to take the telecommunications company’s revolutionary S.MobileData Pin product to everybody – every dealer, every customer that uses MTN data in every nook and cranny of Nigeria.
In his address at the event, the Operations Manager South-South Region of S.Mobile Netzone Nig Ltd, Mr. Samuel Chidiebere Ifediora, told the dealers that as pioneers, they are at advantage for they would have made money before others get into the business. He explained that the main product is the S.Mobile’s MTN Data Pin, which unlike buying recharge card and subscribing for data thereafter, the S.Mobile Data Pin allows you to subscribe data directly. He therefore urged people to embrace the business which is very lucrative because MTN has wide coverage and data will continue to be on high demand.
In his words:
“It is S.Mobile that made it possible you have the pin on data subscription on paper. We call on people to come and do this business that is very profitable… MTN has wide coverage and embraced by all. It is the main line of even people who use multiple networks. It dominates the market. They make profit. It is data sales that gives them the bulk of the profit they make which is much more than they make in airtime and other products. And we say today that data is life. Data is like oxygen. If you are using android phone you cannot do without data.
Minimum recharge for data is N400 as against N100 for airtime. Therefore, it is very profitable dealing in the S.Mobile Data Pin. Secondly, it is a physical product that one can buy and sell. In addition to these, S.Mobile’s program is meant to teach their prospective dealers how to key in or come into the business, expand their scope, and even how to access and utilize credit facilities to do the business.
There are pay packages for the different categories in the S.Mobile Data Pin partnership. And according to Mr. Ifediora, the “first set of dealers we talked into it accepted it in faith. But now we have launched it in public, you still show interest.” S.Mobile therefore also used the event to reward their dealers with gifts ranging from refrigerators, microwave oven, blenders and so on, for their patronage.
