Former media aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan and human rights activist, Reno Omokri, has raised alarm over a perceived invasion of South Western Nigeria by commercial motorcycle operators aka Okada riders most of whom he observed are foreigners.
In an online post on Tuesday evening to the effect, Mr. Omokri knocked the region’s elders for ‘fiddling’ while their land is on the brink.
The online post read as follows:
“The SW may not realize what is happening. There(sic) have been invaded by Okada riders. Many are foreigners. They breed more than their ‘hosts’, and are prepared to bleed you if you try to curb their speed of taking over. SW elders are fiddling as the SW is on the brink!”
