Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Urge Youths to Shun Nationwide Protest

Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Urge Youths to Shun Nationwide Protest: The Southern  Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA) has urged

the youth in the region to refrain from participating in the planned nationwide protest,

citing concerns that it may be hijacked by individuals with malicious intentions,

thereby jeopardizing the healing process in the area.

Apostle Dr. Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, Chairman of SKCLA, made this appeal during

an interview after a special Thanksgiving Service for elected and appointed

officers from Southern Kaduna. He emphasized the need for patience

and allowing the government sufficient time to address the

challenges facing the region.

The Thanksgiving Service, held in collaboration with the Christian

Association of Nigeria, Southern Kaduna Zone, aimed to remind

elected and appointed officers of their moral responsibility to represent

the people effectively. Most Rev. Julius Yakubu Kundi, Vice Chairman

of SKCLA, expressed concern over the disunity among political elites,

which has hindered the growth of the people. He emphasized the need

for unity and alignment of goals, hopes, and aspirations with modern-day politics.

Reverend Dr. Job Ayuba Bagat Mallam, ECWA President and Guest Speaker, charged the elected and appointed officers to be faithful, take their work seriously, and chart a new course for the people of Southern Kaduna. Mr. Amos Gwamna Magaji, representing Zango Kataf Jaba Constituency, thanked SKCLA for the program, describing it as uncommon and further cementing the relationship among elected and appointed representatives from the zone.

the commitment

The SKCLA’s stance on the protest reflects their commitment to peace and stability in the region, which has faced numerous challenges in recent times. By urging caution and patience, they hope to prevent any actions that might exacerbate the situation and instead promote unity and cooperation among leaders.
