The circumstances of his death makes it even more painful, Enugu Governor-Elect Dr Peter Mbah mourns Late Chief Dons Udeh

The Governor-elect of Enugu State, Dr. Peter Mbah, has expressed deep sorrow and grief over the death of Engr. Dons Udeh, a political stalwart and former gubernatorial aspirant of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). Udeh’s lifeless body was found in the 9th Mile area of Enugu on Wednesday after being reported missing a few days ago.

Udeh had served in various capacities, including State Commissioner, Federal Commissioner of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), board member of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), State Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and Special Adviser to the Governor. Most recently, he was a member of the State PDP Campaign Council, amongst others.

In a statement by the head of his media office, Dan Nwomeh, Dr. Mbah described Udeh as an illustrious son of Enugu State, a political associate, a true Waawa son, and patriot who served the state and the nation creditably in several capacities.

Dr. Mbah expressed his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late political stalwart and the entire people of Ozalla, whom Udeh served notably as the President General of their apex development union. He also prayed for the peaceful repose of the soul of the deceased.

The circumstances of Udeh’s death were described as horrendous, unacceptable, and most condemnable by Dr. Mbah, who called on the security agencies to do everything within their powers to unravel the killers and bring them to book. He emphasized that the murder must never go unpunished, and urged the security agencies to ensure that justice is served.

The death of Udeh, a prominent figure in Enugu politics, has generated widespread condemnation, with many calling on the government to take decisive action to address the rising insecurity in the state. Dr. Mbah, who was recently elected as the Governor of Enugu State, has promised to prioritize security and ensure that the people of the state are safe and secure.

The murder of Engr. Dons Udeh has sent shock waves across Enugu State, with many describing it as a sad and unfortunate incident. The government and security agencies have been urged to take immediate action to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice and to prevent a recurrence of such incidents in the state.
