UNIZIK Celebrates Record-Breaking 18 First Class Graduates in 2025 Law School Bar Finals

Eighteen students from Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, have earned First Class Honours in the 2025 Nigerian Law School Bar Finals Examination, marking a historic academic milestone for the institution. This outstanding feat represents the highest number of First Class graduates ever recorded by UNIZIK’s Faculty of Law in a single bar examination cycle.

The names of the exceptional students were shared in an official announcement on the university’s website. Among them are Ibe-Omodo Chioma, Ebubechi Bartholomew Okonkwo, Julius Chukwudi, and Peace Udochukwu Onuigbo, alongside several other high-performing students including Ifechukwu Praise Mmesoma and Anene Chinaza Peace. Their success is being celebrated as a reflection of both student dedication and the university’s focus on academic excellence.

Professor Felicia Ayaogu, Dean of the Faculty of Law, expressed immense pride in the students’ performance. She attributed the success to the tireless efforts of faculty members who have consistently created a supportive and intellectually stimulating academic environment. She also acknowledged divine providence, stating, “Our students have made us proud, and we give all glory to God Almighty.”

The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Professor Joseph Ikechebelu, echoed her sentiments, commending the Faculty of Law for its consistent pursuit of excellence. He emphasized the university’s continued commitment to nurturing students who can compete and thrive on a global scale. He also congratulated the First Class graduates, encouraging them to build on their achievements and promising that the university will continue to provide them with support.
