Mr Peter Obi, the Presidential candidate of the Labour Party speaking to the enormous crowd during his Enugu campaign visit on Thursday said, there is no doubt as to his performance if Nigerians make it a point of duty to elect him as their president.
“We are one step closer to victory. You can count on us to deliver on our promises,” he assured the people.
He added that “in order to exercise your constitutional right to elect me as your President, you must vote. In order to vote, you must collect your PVC. INEC Nigeria has extended the PVC collection deadline to January 29. Don’t miss the opportunity,” the LP flagbearer emphasized.
He was also amazed at the tremendous turnout.
According to him; “One of the most amazing things about today is that we went to the University of Nigeria Enugu campus (UNEC) and met a huge crowd, we moved to Nsukka Campus and met even a larger crowd and here we are at Okpara square facing a more bigger crowd, this shows the people are indeed with us”
He thanked the Obidients in Enugu State for the “massive love and support shown”, noting that the campaign was indeed a successful one.
His wife, Mrs Margaret Obi also elegantly commended the huge turnout.
She said; “the huge turnout has shown Nigeria and the world that indeed they have supporters and that the people are solidly behind the movement”
