The gubernatorial candidate of the Enugu All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) Mr, Frank Nweke has at the event of unveiling his campaign manifesto charged the good people of Enugu to be the party’s foot soldiers in chasing the PDP out of the state.

Mr Nweke while enumerating his plans for Enugu State espoused on some key areas where the state has made little or no headway under the PDP led administration.
He pointed out the deplorable state of the roads, the primary school strike, the issues of pensions, the abandoned international conference center and what he termed “Nrashi”

In his words;

“Nrashi egbugo Enugu, if we don’t kill it, it will kill us. Everything rises and falls on leadership. This Nrashi system has made this administration the most disastrous administration in the southeast.”

In reacting to the question on why he left the PDP, it could be deduced that his main reason is the obvious inability of the PDP to stick to the very constitution that guides her affairs.

Mr Nweke said;
“What is the essence of politics and why do government exist if not to cater for the well being of the citizens of the state and provide opportunity for citizens participation in governance. Now let’s look at the PDP. Otu niile nwere Iwu naachi ha. Adherence to the constitution is what mitigates confusion, arbitrariness and vagueness.
The PDP was founded in 1999 by our brother Alex Ekwueme. He encouraged our people to be faithful to the PDP which we did. The PDP has imbibed the culture of not sticking to the rules of her constitution whenever it is the turn of the ndi igbo to take on the mantle of leadership. Zoning has been the norm in the PDP and it is clearly stated in her constitution. Why do they veer off whenever it is the turn of the southeast? That is why an illustrious son of the Igbo, Mr Peter Obi left the party. I saw it earlier and I left before him.”

He asked in igbo;
Ndi ajuru o na aju onwe ha?

He continued;

“ha jide ka anyi jide nke anyi. The PDP cannot be trusted. It is about equity, justice and fairness. The last seven years has been disaster under this administration! No investment in the state in the last seven years! The PDP has failed us. They have impoverished our people. Join me to chase the PDP out of Enugu State.”
