The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s Presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar has made claims that former President Olusegun Obasanjo will back his bid to become President come 2023.

Alhaji Atiku who spoke on Friday in an interview with Arise TV stated as follows:

“I have been talking to Olusegun Obasanjo, I assume I have his support, I don’t think he has a better partner to support than myself because I have his legacies to continue.”

It has been observed, however, that there has been no love lost between Obasanjo and Atiku over the years as the former has consistently lampooned the later for allegedly being corrupt while they served as President and Vice President respectively from 1999 to 2007.
