——– Says governor’s approach to governance has fostered unity and reduced political tensions across the state.
A Public Affairs Analyst and Fellow, Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (FICMC), Dr. Ambrose Igboke, made this known while speaking on a topic “ Governor Francis Nwifuru: A Mediator Extraordinaire,” on the programme, Beyond the Headlines, on Freedom Square TV, anchored by Uchenna Cyril Anioke.
Dr.Igboke described Governor Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru of Ebonyi State as a true mediator and peacebuilder, noting that his leadership style embodies the principles of dialogue, inclusion, and conflict resolution – key attributes of a trained mediator.
According to him, “ in mediation, you are nothing but a peacebuilder. You are nothing but a negotiator, you are nothing but somebody who coordinates human beings and resources and make the people happy. You know, the end goal of mediation is to create happiness, to engender peace and to create a cordial relationship.”
He emphasized that the governor’s calm disposition, patience, and ability to listen to all sides before taking decisions have earned him the respect of both political allies and opponents.
He, therefore, commended the governor for institutionalizing peace-driven policies and promoting collaboration among communities, describing him as a model of leadership through mediation and reconciliation.
