The village head of Angwan Bulus in the Chikun Local Government Area (LGA), of Kaduna State, Haruna Guni, has recounted how some kidnap victims from the area were killed after the N20 million ransom demand by bandits could not be paid.
Haruna who narrated the harrowing experience to the media said that the terrorists promised to kill more of the abducted victims going forward unless their very stringent demand is met.
In Haruna’s words:
“Bandits called to inform us that three of our children would be killed since we could not pay the N20 million ransom. Unfortunately, they killed the victims. The bandits called us yesterday and directed us to the expressway in Dutse, where we would find the corpses. They said we’d find six corpses, three of which would belong to us and the other to another area.
“The bandits also informed us that three more victims would be killed if we were unable to produce the ransom by 12 o’clock today.”
