Cleric Kidnapped In Akwa-Ibom Community

The Nigerian Police, Akwa Ibom State Command, on Sunday confirmed the abduction of a Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Alphonsus Uboh of St. Pius X Parish, Ikot Abasi Akpan village, Mkpat Enin Local Government Area of the state.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, Mr OdikoMacDon, while confirming the abduction said:
“We have received that report from the area and we are working on it. I learned that the church had a launching to raise funds for a project and realized almost N 5,000,000.
“And when the armed men broke into the priest’s residence, they took away the money and also took him (Fr. Uboh’s) with them. I don’t know if the kidnappers have made contact with the family yet.

Recall that gunmen had abducted the founder of Solid Rock Kingdom Church, Apostle John Okoriko, in the church premises at Ibekwe Akpan Nya in the same MkpatEnin LGA of Akwa-Ibom State barely three weeks before the present current incident.
