Details of the Massacre in Plateau by Alleged Armed Fulani Bandits Emerge

The sordid details of the brazen massacre and destruction of properties by armed Fulani terrorists, aka bandits, in Kanam and Wase Local Government Areas of Plateau State on Sunday, 10th April, have emerged, as reported by some media houses.
Highlight of the detailed account of the attack are as follows: The terrorists attacked 10 communities namely: Kukawa, Gyanbawu, Dungur, Kyaram, Yelwa, Dadda, Wanka, Shuwaka, Gwammadaji, and Dadin Kowa, where they killed over 106 people.
More than 200 well armed terrorists riding on over 70 motorcycles carried out the massacre. They opened fire targeting any adult man in sight.
According to witnesses, the terrorists targeted men, both young and old, and spared the women, however, many were killed in their homes while others were gunned down while running into the bushes. The terrorists burned houses selectively.
The number of those killed continues to rise as bodies are still being recovered from the bushes. Meanwhile, 106 bodies have reportedly, been buried in mass graves by the affected communities.
16 individuals who sustained gunshot wounds are currently receiving treatment at various hospitals.
Over 5000 persons were displaced from their home as a result of the attack.
Security agents were said to have arrived at the scenes of the attacks an hour after the attackers had successfully carried out the attack and gone.
