Increase Police salary they deserve to be celebrated: The Oluwo of Iwo, Oba Abdurosheed Akanbi, has called

on the federal government to increase the salary of police officers to reflect their sacrifice for the country.

In a statement released by his spokesperson Ali Ibrahim on Sunday, the monarch emphasized the need for

the government to improve the working conditions of the police force through salary increment, timely

promotion, and logistics assistance. The Oluwo of Iwo also plans to host a special party to celebrate and

appreciate the police officers serving in his domain.

According to the statement, the Oluwo of Iwo believes that police officers deserve to be celebrated for their sacrifices in ensuring that citizens sleep with their eyes closed. He expressed concern for the welfare of the

police officers, many of whom leave their families for months to serve the country, and some of whom

have been casualties in the process of protecting others. He emphasized that the loyalty and faithfulness of the police officers to serve the country cannot be commensurate.

plans to organize a special party to host and fete the policemen serving in his domain. The event is

scheduled to hold on Tuesday, 25th April 2023, at the Oluwo Palace Square in Iwo, Osun State, by 10:00 am prompt. The event will feature conversations, jolly moments, dance to music, eat and drink. The monarch

hopes that this event will bring out the best in the police officers and encourage them to do more

for humanity.
