Iran says it has received a proposal from the United States as diplomatic efforts continue to resolve the ongoing crisis linked to the US-Israeli war.

Government spokesperson Fatemeh Mohajerani disclosed this in a post on X on Wednesday, saying Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi confirmed that Iran had received the US response during a cabinet meeting.

Mohajerani did not reveal details of the American proposal.

During the meeting, Araghchi also briefed the cabinet on his recent visit to New York, where he held discussions with European and Gulf leaders.

He also reviewed the conditions Iran had communicated to the United States regarding the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, a major international shipping route.

The latest development comes as diplomatic efforts continue to break the deadlock between the two sides.
