It Will Be a Sin for Any Governor Not to Campaign for Tinubu in 2027- Governor Mbah

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, officially announced his defection from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC), declaring his full allegiance to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration ahead of the 2027 general elections.

 

Speaking during a broadcast at the Government House, Enugu,as gathered by Freedom Square TV, Governor Mbah described his decision as a “principled move” anchored on aligning Enugu with the federal government for accelerated development and national cohesion.

 

According to him, “It will be a sin for any governor not to campaign for President Tinubu in 2027. The progress and stability of Nigeria depend on unity and collaboration across all levels of leadership.”

 

Mbah explained that his defection was driven by the need to ensure that Enugu State remains strategically positioned to benefit from federal policies and projects.

 

The governor emphasized that his administration remains committed to good governance, economic transformation, and the principles of inclusive leadership.

 

The event was attended by key APC stalwarts, political associates, and top government officials who welcomed Mbah into the ruling party, describing his move as a major boost for the APC in the South East region.
