As Enugu state gears up to hold it local government election, with dates fixed and shifted , severally, finally the Enugu State Independent Electoral Commission (ENSIEC) and Pat & Begos Consult are jointly hosting a one-day workshop for candidates participating in the October 5, 2024, Local Government Council Elections. The event, themed “Peaceful Local Government Council Elections, Contest not Conflict,” aims to promote a peaceful electoral process.

Scheduled for August 30, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. at Nike Lake Resort Enugu, the workshop requires mandatory attendance from chairmanship, deputy chairmanship, and councillorship candidates. The fees for participation are N120,000, for Chairmanship slots, N70,000, for deputy and N40,000, councillorship respectively.

Payment should be made to Pat & Begos Consult’s Union Bank account which was also captured in the released memo . The ENSIEC secretary requests that political parties inform their candidates about this workshop, emphasizing the importance of attendance. The commission looks forward to a productive and peaceful event.
