The Nigerian Publishers Association (NPA) has joined industry leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss the rapidly evolving publishing landscape.
Addressing newsmen in Ikeja, Lagos, on Thursday during the ongoing two-day annual conference of the Nigerian Publishers Association, the President of the NPA, Dr. Uchenna Cyril Anioke, described the event as a platform for interactive sessions on critical issues affecting the publishing sector.
He explained that the ideas and knowledge gained during the sessions would provide participants with practical insights and tools to navigate the evolving publishing industry effectively.
According to him, the conference agenda includes discussions on key topics such as AI-driven content creation, digital copyright challenges, and strategies for publishers to remain competitive in a technology-driven world.
“These sessions will provide participants with practical tools and insights to address the challenges of the changing publishing landscape. Publishers, authors, journalists, educators, and anyone with an interest in the future of publishing are encouraged to attend,” he said.
Delivering the keynote address, the Director-General of the National Copyright Commission (NCC), Dr. John Asein, urged participants to pay close attention to the program, noting that the knowledge gained would enhance their handling of publishing-related issues.
He also highlighted the critical role of the publishing industry in driving socio-economic development in Nigeria.
The program, which is expected to end on Friday, is themed “Publishing in the Age of Artificial Intelligence: Exploring the Future of Content Creation, Delivery, and Copyright.” ;aims to provide a platform for practitioners in the publishing industry to examine the impact of Artificial Intelligence (AI) on the sector.
