The Nigerian Army has announced online on Friday that its soldiers have neutralized an undisclosed number of terrorists belonging to Boko Haram and their affiliate Islamic State West African Province (ISWAP) around Kangarwa and Metele in Borno State.

According to the announcement, the soldiers who carried out the offensive on the terrorists are troops of Operation Desert Sanity who have been actively engaged in the state for some time now.

Different caliber of weapons and ammunition, among other numerous items like motorcycles and military uniforms, were also recovered from the terrorists.
