The Governor of Sokoto State, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal, has explained why he left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in 2014 and came back to the PDP in 2018.

Alhaji Tambuwal said he left the parties when he did because of the policies of the incumbent President. He explained that he did not leave because he had personal disagreement with any of former President Goodluck Jonathan or President MuhammaduBuhari, but with some of their policies.
