Oyo State Governor and presidential candidate of the Allied People’s Movement (APM), Seyi Makinde, is set to inaugurate the party’s Oyo State Presidential and Governorship Campaign Council on Friday as preparations intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The inauguration, according to a statement issued on Wednesday by the governor’s Special Adviser on Media, Sulaimon Olarenwaju, will take place at 3:30 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Governor’s Office, Ibadan.
The statement disclosed that the Executive Chairman of the Oyo State Universal Basic Education Board (SUBEB), Nureni Adeniran, has been appointed Oyo State Coordinator of the APM 2027 Presidential Campaign and will also serve as Director-General of the party’s Governorship Campaign Council in the state.
Other key appointments include former Chairman of Oyo East Local Government, Saheed Arowosaye, who will serve as Deputy State Coordinator of the APM Presidential Campaign.
Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, Hon. Demola Ojo, has been named Deputy Director-General (South), while Dr. Femi Ojo and Alhaji Siju Lawal will oversee campaign activities in Oyo Central and Oyo North Senatorial Districts respectively as Deputy Directors-General.
The campaign structure also includes Hon. Ramata Agberemi Dabo as Director of the Women’s Wing, while former Special Assistant on Youth to Governor Makinde, Hon. Kazeem Bolarinwa, will coordinate youth mobilisation as Director of the Youth Wing.
According to the statement, additional members of the campaign council will be unveiled in due course as the party continues to strengthen its campaign structure ahead of the 2027 elections.
