Arsenal have reached an agreement with Newcastle United to sign captain Bruno Guimarães in a deal worth £75 million, with the Brazilian midfielder now set to undergo a medical ahead of completing the transfer.

The agreement, reported by British media on Wednesday, marks a significant breakthrough in Arsenal’s pursuit of one of the Premier League’s most highly rated midfielders. Reports indicate that Newcastle have granted Guimarães permission to travel for his medical as the transfer moves closer to completion.

Guimarães has been a key figure for Newcastle since joining the club from French side Lyon in January 2022.
