Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to speak on book launch “Osibanjo Strides” a book by PYO collectives for good Governance

Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie to speak on book launch “Osibanjo Strides: The virtual launch of the book “Osinbajo Strides” in honor of the Vice President of Nigeria, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, is set to take place on May 1 at 5pm.

The book comprises a collection of articles by 25 prominent journalists, writers, and other individuals,

and periscopes the Vice President’s public service since he was Special Adviser to the Attorney-General of the Federation in 1988 up to the present time.

The event, which is being organized by the PYO Collective, a non-partisan and multicultural group of Nigerians interested in good governance and economic development of the country, will be chaired by former

Head of State, Yakubu Gowon. The Foreword of the book was written by General Abudulsalami Abubakar,

while President Muhammadu Buhari is expected to be the father of the day. The book launch will be

held virtually, and a blurb will be made available ahead of the public presentation.

The theme of the book launch is ‘Inspiring A New Nigeria,’ and famed author, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, will be speaking at the event. Attendees expected at the event include former President, Olusegun Obasanjo;

President-elect, Bola Ahmed Tinubu; Senate President, Ahmad Lawan; Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila;

Vice President-Elect, Kashim Shettima; APC National Chairman, Abdullahi Adamu; Chief Emeka Anyaoku;

and all State Governors; Senators and Reps members.

The book launch event is not just a celebration of the Vice President’s public service, but also a

platform for discussing issues of national importance, particularly good governance and economic development.

The PYO Collective, which organized the event, holds ethics, professionalism, honesty, accountability,

and good governance as its core values.

Proceeds from the sales of the book will go to charity organizations, which is a commendable move.

The collection of essays by the 25 writers highlights the defining moments of an innovative leader, and the event promises to be an avenue for stimulating discussions on ways to inspire a new Nigeria.
