There is currently palpable fear among residents of Angwan-Fulani in Dakwa area, Dei-Dei along Abuja/Niger state boarder, following the influx of many strangers into the community.
Eyewitnesses who spoke to journalists on the development said they saw a full truckload of men, women and children with their belongings taken into a fenced property near the Dantata Junction along the Kubwa-Zuba Expressway which linked to the area.
The residents expressed worry that harboring such large number of strangers given the current security situation in the country, is dangerous. They also said that there has been an increase in the spate of criminal activities in the area in resent times.
According to reports, the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of Niger State, Wasiu Abiodun, in who’s jurisdiction the border community falls on, when contacted, told pressmen that he would get back to them. However, the PPRO was yet to do so the last time a check was conducted.
