The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has announced Monday, September 7 to Sunday, September 13, 2026, as the registration period for prospective corps members (PCMs) of the 2026 Batch C mobilisation.
The scheme, however, warned that obtaining clearance from the National Education Records Database (NERD) would be compulsory for all prospective corps members before they could complete their NYSC registration.
In a notice posted on its official X account on Friday, the NYSC directed all PCMs to obtain their NERD Clearance Certificate before commencing the registration process.
The scheme advised prospective corps members to secure the clearance early to avoid delays in their mobilisation.
It warned that candidates without the required clearance would not be able to register for the service year.
“NERD clearance is compulsory for all PCMs,” the NYSC stated.
The scheme added, “No NERD clearance, no NYSC registration.”
According to the NYSC, the online registration portal will open on Monday, September 7, and close on Sunday, September 13.
The scheme urged all prospective corps members preparing for the 2026 Batch C mobilisation to obtain their NERD clearance ahead of the registration window to ensure a smooth registration process.
