The Executive Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, on Monday, slammed Sokoto State Governor, Alhaji Aminu Tambuwal for withdrawing from the PDP presidential primary election on Saturday only to betray him by supporting Atiku Abubakar.
Governor Nyesom Wike who said he had never seen how people could go contrary to the procedure and guideline asserts that he would have “flattened” Tambuwal the moment he said that he was withdrawing from the presidential race. He berated Tambuwal for his decision to announce his withdrawal from PDP’s presidential primary election at that time he did because it was in violation of political procedure and guideline.
Recall that Governor Tambuwal withdrew from the presidential primaries to support Atiku against Wike who had supported him strongly in the past. Wike could not hide his disappointment at the betrayal, which many political analysts said is in line with the Fulani style of politics.
