Ongoing Impersonation Threats: Unmasking the Plots Targeting PETER OBI

In a disturbing turn of events, the menace of impersonation continues to plague prominent figure Peter Obi, with the perpetrators now employing even more sophisticated tactics. Recent reports reveal that the impersonators have acquired the ability to mimic PETER OBI voice and make phone calls to unsuspecting individuals, causing widespread mischief and tarnishing OBI’S reputation both locally and internationally.

The most recent incident unfolded at the Court of Appeal premises of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal venue in Abuja on May 17th. Inside the courtroom, Obi became aware of a commotion taking place outside, prompting an investigation into the matter. It was discovered that Prince Mustapha Audu, son of the late Governor of Kogi state, had been approached by individuals who claimed to represent Obo. Audu recounted an encounter where he was subjected to a verbal assault, with the impersonator labeling Obi as an ethnic and religious bigot. The impersonator alleged that Obi had contacted him while standing in front of his office, but abruptly terminated the call after speaking in Igbo, leaving Audu unable to respond.

Prompted by his aides, Obi swiftly intervened, urging them to delay Audu until he could address the situation personally. After the court proceedings, Obi engaged Audu directly, refuting the allegations and providing an alibi for the alleged phone call. Obi clarified that he was neither present in Abuja nor in the country on the day in question. He explained that at the alleged time of the call, he was actually in France attending a meeting and later traveled to London to celebrate the birthday of his dear elder brother, Dele Momodu.

In a surprising twist, Audu expressed embarrassment and surprise, as the voice and overall demeanor of the impersonator closely resembled Obi’s. Both parties exchanged pleasantries and took photographs, highlighting the deceptive nature of the impersonation attempts.

This distressing incident represents just one of numerous desperate endeavors aimed at defaming Peter Obi and manipulating public opinion for ulterior political motives. While Obi acknowledges healthy competition within the realm of legitimate political discourse, these actions transgress boundaries of decency and raise concerns about the path Nigeria is traversing. As a nation in dire need of positive change, such unethical practices impede progress and hinder the aspiration to join the league of forward-moving nations.

Obi appeals to the public to exercise caution and resist falling victim to these deceitful ploys. The impersonators’ relentless attempts to vilify Obi underscore the significance of remaining vigilant and discerning amidst the evolving landscape of misinformation and political subterfuge. It is imperative for society to stand united against these fraudulent activities that aim to undermine the integrity and progress of the nation.

In the face of these ongoing challenges, Obi remains resolute, determined to continue his pursuit of a better Nigeria while advocating for an atmosphere of fairness, transparency, and genuine development.
